Tourmaline occurs all around the world in a vast rainbow of colours. This, and its cost and durability, make it very popular for use in jewellery. It’s classed as a semi-precious stone.

The fourth Jewellery Cut Live took place in February, alongside London Fashion Week, and I headed along to check out the format, exhibitors and I had ear-marked one or two of the talks to attend.
