These two Burmese spinels are such a lovely colour match, that I really think they would shine brightest when worn together.
Toi et Moi style rings are becoming more popular now, featuring mismatched gems that harmonise or contrast together, so I wanted to create some concepts that would bring a pear and an oval of matching colour and gem type together to create a unique, organic ring design. I rather enjoyed the process!
… But I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t try out some glorious Art Deco styles with the two spinels too.
I do love rose gold with these gems, and I think a hammered finish would add an artisanal twist to two informal stacking rings with the gems set ‘East West’ i.e. longways across the finger.
If you’re interested in working with me on a design using these spinels, please let me know!
