Here’s Zoe Day, artist and owner of Buckingham Art School
Tell me a little about your business and what its purpose is
I run an art school in Buckingham. The purpose of my business is to teach painting & drawing in a community minded environment.
Where did your passion for your business come from?
I have always loved art and sharing that with other people. I am definitely a people person and creating art vicariously gives me incredible satisfaction.
How have you adapted your business to the current climate?
Absolutely. As a face-to-face business I had to think quickly to keep my business alive and so online tutorials seamed the only viable option.
What top three tips would you give to someone looking to start their own business right now?
Do the maths! Business planning and projecting.
Be optimistic but realistic. Set goals.
Put in the hours! Just be prepared to work twice as hard in the beginning - it WILL pay off!
What kind of jewellery do you wear?
Stud earrings and single stone necklaces.
Do you have a jewellery wish list? Perhaps a board on Pinterest?!
Yes - A big solitaire diamond necklace!
